–Cover art by Andrew Davidson –The cover art for the third book in the Maisie Dobbs series reminds me of Gerald Murphy‘s lost painting, Boat Deck, shown here at the Salon des Indépendents of 1924. All of the U.S. covers for the Maisie Dobbs books are done by Mr. Davidson in the same style.

Apparently, 2008 was a record year for the Dallas Museum of Art. I have recently read several articles over the internet discussing this and the museum’s press release can be found here.
