Federico Uribe is a Miami-based pop artist. He was born in Colombia in 1962 and studied at the University of Los Andes in Bogota. Later, he studied in New York under Luis Camnitzer. He then traveled the world creating and studying art in various countries such as Cuba, Mexico, Russia, and the United Kingdom. Uribe began doing sculpture and painting, but now uses everyday objects to create new pieces.

I love art made of shapes and patterns. We had one such exhibit here in L.A. at MOCA, but I can’t remember the name of the artist, maybe it was Mr. Uribe. Lovely colors in the last one, and with color pencils no less..
