Here is another Hawaiian plant that I took of picture of at a flower farm upcountry on Maui:

I don’t know the name of this plant, but when you touch it is very solid and feels like wood.

  1. denise, was the flower farm the lavender farm that’s there? we toured that last june. it’s beautiful. but it’s so upcountry and on such a slope that i felt i was tilted the whole time i was there! pam

  2. Pam, The lavendar farm is on a different road upcountry than the flower place. Near the lavendar farm is another sight to see: The Surfing Goat Dairy, where they make all kinds of goat cheese and you can pet the little baby goats.
